January 2011
Lecarrow
King covered himself in glory at the Olympia Horse
Show on December 20th 2010 by winning the Best of Breed
prize and then being awarded the Reserve Championship in
the NPS Baileys Horse Feeds Supreme Ridden Pony of the Year.
He was beautifully ridden by Jayne Webber. “King”
had a great 2nd year under saddle and won numerous first
prizes and championships. He will now be retired from ridden
classes. He will concentrate on stud duties instead. His
temperament is superb and the Roberts’ family have
done a wonderful job with him when showing him under saddle.
Sam has him schooled to perfection and her mother, Suzi,
took over the ride when Sam broke her leg in May 2010, and
qualified him for HOYS. He is a really easy pony to deal
with and we are very proud of him. Crossing him with Thoroughbreds
and Sport horses as well as pure bred Connemaras should
be most interesting. He has a good jumping pedigree and
excellent conformation.
